The school

A neighbourhood school: demanding and caring

Les Pyramides Bilingual School is a lay private school based in Ayos, in the Nyong-et-Mfoumou division, Centre region. Approved by the Ministry of Basic Education, it has been welcoming children from the SSO neighbourhood and beyond since 2018, from pre-nursery right through to Class Six.

Our approach rests on a simple idea: a child learns better when both their languages are spoken, when the staff know them by name, and when the class moves at a pace that suits it. That is why French-English bilingualism starts in the nursery, class sizes are deliberately kept small, and every family is involved in following their child's progress.

Our two sections

A complete basic education pathway, in both French and English.

Nursery Section

Pre-nursery, Nursery One and Nursery Two

Here children first learn to live together, to speak, to listen and to play seriously. Both languages are present from day one: rhymes, instructions and games move naturally between French and English. Children are welcome from the age of 2.
